Inheritable is made by Apps 365 Ltd, a UK software company. We build a private place to keep the documents, passwords, finances, plans, and wishes that matter, organised in one place and shared only on terms you set.
What we focus on
We are engineers, and our attention goes where it counts: keeping your information private and under your control. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, the database enforces row-level security so the application can only ever see data that belongs to the signed-in account, your most sensitive fields such as vault passwords carry a second layer of encryption inside the database, and backups are encrypted.

Who is behind it
I am the software architect, engineer and the co-founder of Inheritable. I build the product hands-on, with a focus on security, privacy, and making something genuinely useful for ordinary people.
Inheritable grew out of a simple problem: the documents, accounts, and wishes that matter most are scattered across drawers, inboxes, and people’s memories. I wanted a single, encrypted place to keep them, shared only on terms you set.
Peter Ferguson is the founder of Apps 365 Ltd and the driving force behind Inheritable and VitaVault. With over 24 years working in Microsoft 365, cloud and digital workplace technology, he has supported some of the UK’s most demanding organisations, including Heathrow Airport, Barclays Capital, the Care Quality Commission and the European Medicines Agency.
Peter also owns and runs one of LinkedIn’s largest Microsoft 365 communities, with more than 130,000 members. Today he draws on that experience to build secure, intuitive products that help people organise their lives with a little less effort.
